SNOWAPPLE - The Slaughtered Lamb, Clerkenwell, 06/02/15
Snaz music reviews SNOWAPPLE the all female modern folk trio from Amsterdam.
The three ladies who formed the band came from slightly different musical backgrounds, but all three are trained vocalists and can play an array of different instruments. This not only lends itself to the composition of more interesting songs than some bands might create, but also means that they can layer these songs in beautiful three-part harmonies.
They play a variation of own compositions and forgotten old songs. The songs vary from slow ballads to fast and playful songs performed on banjo, guitar and a variety of instruments like mandoline, ukulele, violin, klokkenspiel & accordeon.
