The V Festival is good for virgins

V FESTIVAL

Oasis, The Killers, Razorlight and Snow Patrol will be just some of the acts gracing the main stage at the V Festival this year.

Out of those Oasis is surely the biggest pull and chances are the mass singalongs which are so much a part of the modern festival scene will be heard far and wide. The festival takes place on the weekend of 22-23 August at two sites, Chelmsford and Stafford, and other featured festival performers include Elbow, Fatboy Slim, Lilly Allen, The Specials and that feisty and flash New Yorker Lady Ga Ga.

The V Festival has always been seen as the more mainstream of the music fests and thus perfect for first-timers. But this year’s line-up shows it’s also got a very sharp cutting edge to it and younger acts rocking the sites are festival newcomers Pendulum, The Ting Tings, electroboys MGMT and We Have Band.

Snaz plans to be there again (you can still check out our round-up from last year) and will be checking out some of the newer acts along with Paulo Nutini who is fast turning into the big star he’s always had the promise to be and Dizzee Rascal who will be just…well, bonkers, innit?

What with all the more dance acts thrown into the mix, there’s something for everyone – even the virgin festival-goer.
